AUTOCIRC Hot Water Circulating Pump
Suitable for existing homes with no additional plumbing required
Installed under the basin or sink furtherest from the water heater, Autocirc sensors the water
temperature and draws hot water up to every hot tap in the house, simultaneously pumping the
cooled water back to the water heater via the cold water pipes, NOT a drop is wasted.
The pump turns off when it sensors hot water. You get INSTANT hot water at every tap.
The Autocirc pump will ensure that you no longer have to watch your water go down the
drain while you are waiting for it to heat up. The water will be instantly hot and will
cost the average home a mere 90c to run per month. Easy to install, Autocirc is the best
solution for an existing home that would like to take advantage of having instant hot
water on tap all the time.
TYPICAL INSTALL
Shown here is a typical installation of the Autocirc in the family home. The Autocirc is 
installed underneath the sink and requires only a single power point to operate.
Installation is simple, just disconnect the pipes to the two taps, connect the pump and
reconnect the pipes from the taps to the pump, set the timer and the jobs done.The autocirc
is not affected by the tempering valve, in fact when connected to a system using a tempering
valve, it is even more economical. The Autocirc will pump through most non-return valves,
however it cannot pump against a pressure gradient. If there is a pressure reducing valve
immediately before your water heater, or between the cold water take-off and the water
heater, this pressure reducing valve must be moved back to before the cold water take-off.
Autocirc requires that both the hot and cold water pipes in the house be at the same pressure.
HOW IT WORKS
Autocirc senses the temperature in the hot water line, at the furthest
extreme from your hot water heater. When the water temperature reaches 
a predetermined minimum it turns on and pumps water slowly from the
hot water line back to the water heater, through the cold water line,
and through a check valve, until the hot water again reaches the pump.
At which time it switches off. It keeps doing this each time the water
cools off during the time period you’ve set. The pump is only 33W, so
it costs only 1 cent to run it for 8 hours (30% duty cycle). Far less
than 1 light bulb and you have the pleasure of hot water when you
turn on the tap.
ULTRACIRC Hot water Circulating Pump
More suited to new homes and requires a dedicated return line.
Install Ultracirc in the return line as far from the water heater as practical. As the water
cools Ultracirc sensors the temperature and pumps hot water up from the water heater to every
hot tap in the house simultaneously pushing the cooler water back to the water heater via the
return line. The pump turns off when it sensors the desired water temperature. Ultracirc pump
is the most efficient recirculating hot water pump available, requiring dedicated piping to
your mains pressure hot water heater. The water will be instantly hot costing the average
home a mere 90c to run per month.
HOW IT WORKS
Ultracirc 5 functions in 1 pump. The Ultracirc pump incorporates the non-return valve, bib-cock,
adjustable temperature control and a 24hr timer (UCT models). Installed at the furthest extreme
from your hot water heater or in the insulated return line, the Ultracirc senses the water
temperature. When the water temperature reaches a predetermined minimum it turns on and pumps
water slowly from the hot water line back to the water heater, through the dedicated return line
until the hot water reaches the pump; at which time the pump switches off. It keeps doing this
each time the water cools off during the time period you’ve set. The pump being only 33W, costs 
only 1 cent to run for 8 hours on a standard 30% duty cycle. The amount of energy is far less
than 1 light bulb and you have the pleasure of hot water when you turn on any tap.
